CARE THAT GOES THE DISTANCE

Better trails.
Lasting care.

For the paths we walk, the land we share, and the places worth looking after.

New Haven Trail Company brings trail maintenance, brush cleanup and field documentation together through Silent Grounds Collective’s shared stewardship mission.

01 / WORK ON THE GROUND

Practical work.
A shared purpose.

We help connect the physical care of a place with the knowledge, coordination and continuing attention it needs.

01

Trails & grounds

Trail maintenance, brush and overgrowth cleanup, litter removal and practical grounds care. Trail marking and route work depend on landowner permission and an agreed plan.

02

Field documentation

Photographs, GPS mapping, site observations and condition notes that help people understand what is there, what needs attention and what work comes next.

PHOTOGRAPHY · MAPPING · CONDITION RECORDS
03

Continuing site care

The physical work behind Integrated Site Services: agreed installations, maintenance, site checks and inspections, coordinated with Silent Grounds Collective and the site’s stewards.

SITE CHECKS · MAINTENANCE · COORDINATED CARE

Services are being developed. General bookings are not yet open; project scope, equipment, staffing, permissions and availability are confirmed individually.

02 / HOW WE APPROACH A PLACE

Good stewardship
starts with listening.

  1. 01

    Understand the site

Start with the landowner, the site’s history, its current condition and the people who care about it.

  2. 02

    Agree on the work

Confirm permission, boundaries, suitable methods and the tools and people needed before work begins.

  3. 03

    Document and keep caring

Record conditions and completed work, then identify the maintenance and follow-up a place will need.

ONE COLLECTIVE. SHARED CARE.

More than a
single workday.

Our work sits within Silent Grounds Collective’s wider commitment to Connecticut’s historic places, landscapes and community memory.

At West Cemetery in Meriden, SGC volunteers came together on October 24–25, 2026 to clear brush and fallen branches, collect leaves and bring overgrown markers back into view. Continued care takes people, practical tools and a plan.
